Hand Made Wooden Pens by Rodney Neep

See a very special Beechenhurst Senior pen being made here

Each pen is individually hand made by Rodney Neep. No two pens are the same. They are unique! When you buy a Rodney Neep pen, you select an individual pen from those currently offered for sale. All pens come with an individually numbered certificate signed by Rodney Neep.

The Beechenhurst Senior Desk Pen is much larger than the standard Beechenhurst. In true desk pen style, it has a non-posting cap.

The Beechenhurst is really nice quality writing instrument at an affordable price.

Writing with a good pen is a special experience. All too often these days we just rattle off a quick email or an SMS message, and a ballpoint pen is used to scribble quick notes. I know that I reached a stage where my "best handwriting" just wasn't any more. But with a special pen you regain that lost experience when writing a personal letter or keeping a journal. You slow down a little and relax. Writing with an ink pen displays good character, and the recipient of your letter is so pleased that you made it personal.

The Beechenhurst Senior is chromium plated, with highlights of gold in the band and the top of the cap. Just occasionally I make a very special one with rhodium plating.

This pen comes with a German made medium nib with a long lasting iridium point. A fine nib is available as an alternative on request.

#1360 - Beechenhurst Senior Rollerball Pen - Burl Wood & Surf Resin

A natural pale wood burl bonded to a swirly blue & white resin. The result is absolutely stunning!

#1361 - Beechenhurst Senior Rollerball Pen - Spalted Beech and Claret Resin

Spalting is where the wood has been allowed to become a little rotten. In this example the wood has been hardened and stabilised and impregnated with a rich deep claret resin to show off the grain beautifully. Very unusual, and a one-off experimental piece.

#1362 - Beechenhurst Senior Fountain Pen - Oak Burl & Forest Green Resin

Beautiful swirly oak burl wood bonded to an iridescent green & pearl resin. A very classy desk pen indeed!

#684 - Beechenhurst Snr. Fountain Pen - Amboyna Burl

Amboyna Burl from the Far East. The king of woods, with a fabulous burly grain.

#676 - Beechenhurst Snr. Fountain Pen - Cocobolo

Rich and luxurious cocobolo wood. Fabulous reddish brown grain.

#677 - Beechenhurst Snr. Fountain Pen - Spalted Maple

Maple, with black lines from the spalting.

#679 - Spalted Elm Burl Fountain Pen
#680 - Spalted Elm Burl Rollerball Pen

A Matching Pair

One of the most stunning woods from my special reserve. Tight swirly burl grain with lots of tiny pippy knots. The rollerball pen has been made with two fine grooves in the body and cap, otherwise you would find it hard to tell them apart!

#685 - Beechenhurst Snr. Rollerball Pen - Forest Moss Acrylic & Oak

A green moss acrylic, with a segment of English Oak.

Above: One of the very special Beechenhurst Senior pens with Rhodium fittings. Rhodium is a membver of the platinum family of metals. This one, made in Black Palm, was created to special order for a customer.

I can make this pen with any wood on request (subject to availability). Prices may vary depending on the type of wood used. If you want a rhodium plated one, then it will be much more expensive than the regular chome ones.
